The Schramm DVD wasn't let loose this week as scheduled. It
has been pushed back another month to March 13. No real problems
to report; it's just taking a bit longer than expected to
complete the compression / authoring. This is largely to due
with the facility's heavy workload, which necessitated a push
back in the delivery dates of after-holiday projects like
Schramm. And the amount of extras on the disc isn't helping
to speed things up! But rest easy. The compression is complete.
The final task of authoring the elements together should be
wrapped up by the 16th of February. Following the DVD-r approval,
the DLT will be shipped off to the manufacturing plant for
mastering and replication. That will take around two weeks,
if things run smoothly. So hang on a bit more. The disc is
shaping up to be a worthy successor to our Nekromantik DVD,
and will be well worth the wait!
Also, we've added some Schramm menu
stills for your viewing pleasure. Keep in mind that the main
menu will be animated with music...
The Nekromantik DVDs are sold out, but another pressing is
on the way. The next pressing will most likely have a black
Amaray box, unlike the first pressing's red box (although
we were a bit amused over the "sealed" Nekromantik
auctioned on Ebay in a black Amaray box...must be a real collector's
item!). However, we do still have around 50 signed Nekros
left, if anyone is interested in grabbing them. They are going
for $43 priority postage paid; just email
us for ordering info. Jörg will not be signing any of
the Schramm DVDs for us, so these are one of a kind.
We're going to announce some upcoming projects very soon,
so stay tuned to the Barrel for further news.
Until next time,
