July
26, 2002. As all of you know, we are about to bring
you the definitive version of Roger Watkins' notorious horror-epic
Last House on Dead End Street.
Over a year of hard work and obsessive research have gone
into what we believe to be the one of the finest documents
of the spirit of underground filmmaking.
However
we were recently notified of an unexpected situation that
is going to prevent us from including a few, minor supplements
on the DVD. These supplements include a few minutes of outtakes
footage that was previously subject to litigation, one of
the five Watkins short films, and a few phone calls from the
At Home With Terry Hawkins audio feature. We are unable
to divulge any further information on the affected supplements
or the reasons for their removal. As a result of this situation
and the fact that it arose at such a late stage when the DVDs
were already mastered and ready to roll out on July 2nd, it
has become necessary for us to go back in and remove these
supplements which requires a complete remastering of both
DVDs in this two-disc set. We are working hard, but the remastering
is taking much longer than we initially expected. As a result,
we are forced to push the street date back again. The new
release date for this two-disc set is now September 24, 2002.
The
affected supplements have been removed from our packaging
and website details and will not be mentioned in any further
advertisements concerning our Lhodes promotion. The
current list of DVD supplements to be released on September
24th follows below. It is imperative for any web retailer
currently offering the Lhodes DVD for sale, or any
website currently promoting the DVD, to modify its listing
to take into account the recent changes in the DVDs
lineup. The Suggested Retail Price will remain at $34.95.
