| Walls
in the City
“Skillfully
rendered slice-of-life ... not to be missed”
– Chicago Sun-Times
Four
years in the making, Walls in the City
is a triptych on urban alienation. In this feature debut,
director Jim Sikora, known for Bullet on a Wire
and Bring Me the Head of Geraldo Rivera,
offers meditations on emotional violence..
In
Walls in the City, Sikora’s
fringe-dwellers struggle to shape their own fates amidst the
flats and taverns of an indifferent and often hostile environment.
Cutting performances by Paula Killen (Mad Dog
and Glory, Bullet on a Wire),
Tony Fitzpatrick (Philadelphia),
Bill Cusack (Ed Wood, The
Fugitive), Michael James (Code of
Silence), and David Yow (vocalist for The
Jesus Lizard) lead an array of vibrantly discordant
characterizations that compliment a bold and inventive visual
style.
